Screenings, Casting, Working and Gettin' Paid
February 26, 2012 — robThe Oscar Shorts Screenings at UNC went really well. It's so much more fun to be invited to do things, when compared with inviting yourself. When someone asks you if they could screen your work, it means that they have a respect for your abilities and it also means that you're not asking/begging someone to screen at their establishment. It takes the pressure off of everyone. If they ever wanted me to do something like that again, I would RSVP in the positive.

So, today at 7:00 PM I will be screening four of my shorts as a part of The University of Northern Colorado International Film Series Oscar Shorts screening. I feel honored to be asked to participate in something like this. I do public screenings as often as I can, but it’s usually more of a loose format. This event seems like it will be a tad more academic, which will be a cool change. It thrills me most of all, that the audience will be there entirely for the shorts.
